The Circulation system in the library provides a number of services such as: Registration of new members and renew the membership of existing members, check-out (issue) and check-in (return) of books, reservation of books.
Upon receiving a request for a literature search from the faculty member, the librarian will perform a search of relevant online databases and provide a list of references, including authors, titles, journal source and abstracts to the requestor.
The library has set up a separate and dedicated internet service area for the users 06 PCs has been installed for students and 2 PCs for teacher member to access the internet and online resources.
The Library provides reference service to users as per their requirements and needs and it is a prompt service.
Readers base their information on any book not in the library.
There is a wheelchair at the entrance of the College Library for the purpose of facilitating access to physically challenged users in the library. In addition, there is a separate reading shit in the reading room.
Newly added books to the library are displayed on the New Arrivals Display Board. The purpose is to bring the newly added books to the notice of the users.
The list of newly added books and other reading materials are sent in emailed to the concern department.
The Journal content pages are scanned and sent to the faculty members.
Subject to copyright regulations, Library material can be photocopied on payment basis. Photocopy (black & white) service shall be provided to the users on permission to the Librarian Charges for Xeroxing shall be Rs.1 per exposure for A-4 size copy .
All the newly enrolled students are made aware about the various facilities provided by the College Library every year during Orientation Programme organized on the very first day of the start of the new academic session.
The library has fully computerized its most actively used collection, which is searchable through KOHA Library Management System for Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). The Web-OPAC allows search by author, title, subject, call number, keywords and Boolean search. The Web-OPAC is very user-friendly and enables searches to be conducted with ease and speed.
